Great Summer Product

It's the bike that lasts through all of 'toddlerness'! I've been trying to find a ride-on toy for Benny, something that starts out with me in control and eventually becomes a toy for him to use! Well, I found what I wanted: the Little Tikes 3-in-1 Smart Trike, for $89.99. Stage one on this bike involves a seat belt, a plastic harness that keeps the child on the seat, a sun canopy, and a height adjustable handle for Mom and Dad to do the steering!

So, being that I sat and thought about it too long, and it was coming into summer season, by the time I decided that this was the bike for Benny, it was sold out everywhere! So, I scoured high and low, anytime we drove past Toys R Us we had to stop and check! Persistence paid off and we are now the happy owners of said trike!!!

First, let me start off with telling you that Benny can not get enough of it! Sometimes he'll just sit in it in the living room playing with a small toy! He also likes to walk around the house, pushing it! We put him in it and go for a walk if he's too wound up to go to sleep at night, it really calms him down!
Ok, now for the real review: the sun canopy was a waste of time, we took it off after one day. It is very flimsy and does not protect much at all. The steering is a bit harder than I had expected but gets the job done, with some getting used to! The handle itself is awesome, in its lowest setting, Benny walks around pushing it. In it's highest setting, Shuky loves to push Benny! I fit somewhere in between :). The seat belt could use something more of a chest clip, considering that the suggested age starts at 9-10 months. I am looking for something, so stay posted...for now Benny has a little too much freedom! The harness is amazing, sometimes Benny rests his hands on that instead of the handles! There are two small footrests that fold out for him, until he's big enough to use the foot pedals! Another great thing about this bike is, with the handle on it's lowest setting, it rolls right into the back of my Blazer. We take it with us on all our outings!

We are still in Stage one. When we make it to Stage Two, I will do another review. In the meantime, I would highly recommend this bike. It is a little pricey, but keep in mind, if taken care of properly, this could last through three summers!!! Stay tuned for pictures!
